I am from the country that just made history at the AFCON games in Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 on 16th Jan 2024. I am from the country whose national team ranked 115 by FIFA beat the national football team of Tunisia 1-0 which is ranked 25th by FIFA.
My country boasts Dion Hotto who was the goal scorer at this year’s AFCON championship; Peter Shalulile; the Dangerous one or Muzeu as his name may hint; Imbondi, Petrus Amutenya; & Kazapua our Magnetic Goal Keeper & many more.
I am from the country of Jameela /Uiras who featured in the top 20 delegates at the this year’s Miss Universe Pageant. I am from the Land of Christine Mboma & Beatrice Masilingi, the country of the Welwitschias & the National Cricket 🏏 team that flies the National Flag high. We are from a talented Nation including Artists like Gazza; The Dogg; Tate Boetie; Top Cherry; Ya Ziza; DNaff; Oteya; Ees & many more, even Sean Kamati is soaring on stage in Malta.
The list of our Legends is long, from Boxing Champion Harry Simon to Sprinter Frank Frederick, Miss Universe Michelle McLean; Fashion Icon, Meriam Kaxuxwena, Dillish Matthews - the Winner of Big Brother Africa and many more.
I am from a country that’s crazy in content creation; where we love to tell our own narrative; the Namibian story when it comes to local News & Programmes for Radio, TV: Online; Theatre & big screens or around the fire 🔥 as in traditional folklore. The industry that’s teaming with visualization of stitching mooted ideas together to become a reality - the country where the Hairareb Movie & others have attracted awards the world over & creatives including journalists’ quality work is distinct through local, regional & Continental & international recognition.

I am from a country that boasts female power at the National & Political levels, both our Prime Minister (Right Honorable Dr Saara Kuugongelwa Amadhila) & her Deputy (Prime Minister) who is also the Minister of International Relations & Cooperations (Honorable Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah or Mee Mukwanangobe) are both women.
I am from the country whose democracy’s has been maturing since independence in 1990 as depicted by the multi-party system in Parliament.
I am from a country whose Leader of the Official Opposition is Honourable McHenry Venaani (or who do they have as his first name may imply if directly translated).
I am from a country that’s full of talents in diversity - & can make waves on international or gl bal arena once given an opportunity as it was the case with the Brave Warriors - regardless of its population.
What I mentioned here is just the tip of the iceberg of my country’s wealth of talent in unique ways.
I am from a country with a special Namibian House, where all households irrespective of their status live in peace & harmony; oozing stability & reconciliatory spirit considering where we come from.
The Brave Warriors that made history at AFCON in Ivory Coast are the offsprings of the Namibian House 🏡- meaning their prowess; foot skill & mental strength on the Soccer ⚽️ Pitch is rooted in the Genealogy of the Namibian House & subsequently the Namibian Nation.
