Perseverence amidst piercing, arduous and very emotional and physically painful moments. If this is happening to you, remember that nothing is permanent and one day, that suffering will be over.

Have you ever wondered how much a person's hearts has shielded, from private to public issues. Do you know how much thoughts a person goes through - day and night - even though his or her face might not clearly show that?

Many of us, especially young people are storing untold pain, suffering, humiliation, dehuminazation and character assession experiences in our hearts. In Oshiwambo, (one of the local language spoken in Namibia) they say omutima uamukuetu okalongo kelili - and if directly translated, it can mean that one hardly knows what is going on in the next person's heart.

A heart is actually a big cave, full of all sorts of things - love, disappointment, desires and all. And most of the time, a person finds its difficult to share the heart overloads with the next person to lighted some of the loads, mainly the pain, uncertainly and doubt as well as frustrations. At times, you might think you are the only one facing so much trouble - you think you are the only one in pain - rejected, dumped, degrated, bankrupt, homeless, single, divorced, jobless, demoted, jobless, uneducated, penniless, humiliated, impregnated and ditched, given a child and the father or mother does not support the baby, swimming in debt.. and the list of the heart challenges continues.

But, I would like to tell you tonight, that your situation might even be better - many of us as you see us although not showing it are equally faced with challenges - unresolved issues whether at work, home, community or country - or just among friends. You are not the only one -therefore, do not dispair. Don't be demoralized or give up. Yes, you might face a humiliating situation today - no food, no shelter - and might be relying on sex work or beggaring activities to make ends meet. But, as you know, nothing is permannt my country men or women. Today you could be poor - and ignored by many but who knows what tomorrow holds for you ? Do you now that each day is brighter day - having so much in store for you - and you could just be fortunate enough to be at the right time on the right day? Just remain strong, it is not easy - and I know that - but you have to persever ...you will one day overcome ...

You have to try and find some unique activity to do in your community - or environment - because some of those creative actions could also lead to a completely changed life - even if you just very small. I was speaking to my mom yesterday and she was telling me of a white Namibian who went to sell what is called "omahandja" in oshiwambo - the worms found mainly from cattle kraals - or under the cow-dung -which is considered as a delicacy especially among the oshiwambo speaking. But, from my experience, some communities that are rich in livestock do not really care about omahandja --therefore, who knew that that Namibian who went to sell those worms could start his business just with omahandja?

Also, there are some communities that farm with cattle - meaning that they have a lot of manure in their kraals, but they do not really plant or having wheat of maize fields - and such manure is just left without any use. But, some other communities especially in northern Namibia depend on millet - but do you that with some collaboration and strength and teaming up with those with transport, a person can go and collect all that manure left to waste - package it in bags and send it to the areas that is needed most? Do you know what that could trigger, a potential small business project??

Those are just examples that I am mentioning - I am sure there are a lot that a person can cite. And again, the aim of writing this post is basically to encourage you to move on - to remain strong - and push yourself forward - to hope - to another day - a brighter day that brings change - positive change for you. It is possible to have your situation changed - yes, it is a painful process - but nothing is permanent my friend ...therefore, as of today - remember that you might face the biggest problem today, but there are also opporutunities out there, waiting for you to uncover.

Keep on perservering, and one day, you will just be talking about you tough it was for you to live, but by then, you would have already moved out of that situation - and probably the the one to encourage and inpire others to do the same......remember my words ... don't even beat yourself up and be angry with your beautiful soul - just find an alternative, it is definitely there, you just need to find it.
